Planning: Assess existing plans ensuring emergency
responders have updated emergency operation plans and
all-hazards annexes providing direction in the event
of any catastrophic incident. Do you have appropriate
plans and procedures in place to preserve life and recover?
Organization: Assess organizational efforts addressed
through the construction of emergency response teams
and written mutual aid agreements. Have specialized teams
been identified to accomplish these tasks and are these
components in place?
Equipment: Assess the current and desired resources
needed to respond to incidents determined through planning
factors, all-hazards response levels and specific tasks
needed by each stakeholder. Is the stakeholder equipped
to perform their task?
Training: Assess current and desired all-hazards
training levels required by each stakeholder. Is the
stakeholder trained to perform their task?
Exercise & Evaluation: Assess current and
future exercise preparations to determine their effectiveness
to properly test continuity of operations and recovery
plans. Are the plans and tasks associated with recovery
and response evaluated using realistic all-hazards scenarios?
