The International Society of First Responders is a trade association
and professional resource center dedicated to the issues
of training, education, best practices, and shared experiences
facing First Responders concerning Homeland Security.
Until its inception, no central resource center existed
where First Responders could access information on topical
issues and current solutions to WMD events. Tools and
sources of information have often been few, disparate,
widely scattered, sometimes unreliable, and often partisan.
Hazmat has written and published Hazmat issues and concerns.
Police and fire departments have written and published
issues and concerns facing both police officer and firefighters.
Starting now, this information has been consolidated
and is available to everyone.
The ISOFR consolidates and integrates best practice responses
to WMD events among all First Responders that they may
collectively become more efficient and save more lives
during a crisis.
Homeland Security begins and ends in our hometowns. Through
empowering and equipping our communities' First Responders
with the right tools, techniques and training, the ISOFR
is a catalyst for Integrated Frontline Municipal Defense.
Our success depends greatly upon you as First Responders.
Your participation in this site ensures our continued
ability to provide new information, documents and articles
as they become available. Please encourage your brother
and sister First Responders to utilize this site as a
training resource.
ISOFR: the only resource you will ever need!
